Leading with care in Mexico — and around the world.
Our AMPATH México partners and the Ministry of Health share the belief that all people deserve to be healthy, no matter their socioeconomic status or location. Together with our partners, AMPATH México is working to break down barriers to healthcare access and transform population health in the Puebla region, its neighboring Texas communities and beyond.
The Academic Model Providing Access to Health (AMPATH) translates in Spanish as Modelo Académico para Proveer Acceso a la Salud (MAPAS).
WHY OUR PARTNERSHIP MODEL MATTERS.
AMPATH’s proven partnership model is all about bringing together the right people and the right resources to make the biggest, most sustainable impact on an entire population. That starts with medical care on the ground in Mexico, and it expands to medical trainees from Mexico and our international partners learning and working side-by-side.
But it’s not just about healthcare. We know that education, income generation, mental health, safety and independence are all a part of true health. So we work with communities to bolster and run their own programs to promote lasting well-being. And behind the scenes, we conduct critical research that moves breakthroughs forward for all of us.
