TRAINING HEALTHCARE LEADERS IN MEXICO AND WORLDWIDE.
Strong, sustainable health depends on forward-facing healthcare leaders. That’s why we work to train medical practitioners, students, residents, faculty, nurses, community health workers and more. We’ve partnered to build curriculum, protocols and continuing education that are empowering our next generation of global health leaders. Together in Mexico, Central Texas, and beyond, students and faculty work side-by-side to share ideas and knowledge, and to find the mentorship they need to learn and lead. It’s an irreplaceable, life-changing experience, and one that builds the future of global health.
~30 mentees
Each semester, we provide global health mentorship for pasantes (final year medical students) and other medical students.
~3,000 attendees
per year via our monthly seminar series that includes a BUAP and UT presenter sharing their expertise about topics related to advancing health.
~9,000 students
BUAP’s medical school has ~6000 medical students and an additional ~3000 students from all other programs. Their residents train in 22 subspecialty programs
